The library holds a well-rounded collection of books for all ages. The Adult Books section includes Fiction, Non-fiction, Biography, Science Fiction, Detective, Western, Mass-market Paperback, Large Print Fiction & Large Print Western. Our children and teen collections include Young Adult (YA) Juvenile Fiction, Juvenile Non-Fiction, Graphic Novels/Manga, and Easy Books for our youngest library patrons.
Holds may be placed on materials for pickup from the circulation desk or book lockers. You can place a hold on items by calling us, placing a hold in your online account, or through your MyLibro App.
We have books on CD, and movies (DVD format) for both adults and children.

Need some fun games for a kids party or backyard BBQ? The library has lego suitecases and yard games available for checkout. The checkout period is 2 weeks, and they each carry a late fee of $3.00/day.

Check out a Nature Knapsack, provided in partnership with Douthat State Park and Virginia Cooperative Extension. These backpacks are great for taking your family on a hike and include trail maps, and information on all kinds of plants and creatures you might see along the way!

Also available are 10 different Early Literacy Backpacks complete with books and fun activities for children ages 0-5. The backpacks include the following themes, and we hope to continue to add more to our collection!
