Computer Literacy Classes Continue at Library
The staff at the Alleghany Highlands Regional Library will continue their adult digital literacy classes on Saturday, May 20th, with three Microsoft Word classes. Instructor Adrienne Young will offer Microsoft Word Basics I at 10 a.m. The class will focus on navigating Microsoft Word, learning key terms and features of the software. She will also model how to open and save documents.
Young will build on that class with Microsoft Word Basics II at 11 a.m. The focus of this session will be working with templates, navigating home and design tabs, and saving options. The final class, Microsoft Word Advanced, will be offered at 1 p.m. It will address how to complete mailings, work with large documents, create a table of contents, and complete references.
There is no cost to participate. All classes will be held in the Computer Learning Lab on the second floor of the library. Registration is required, and each class will be limited to ten participants. Persons wishing to participate may stop by the Circulation Desk or telephone the staff at 962-3321 to sign up.
The Alleghany Highlands Regional Library is located at 406 W. Riverside Street.
