Foundation Directory Online Database Workshops
The Alleghany Highlands Regional Library will conduct two introductory workshops on the Foundation Directory Online database.
Learn how to locate grant opportunities for your organization through Foundation Directory Online (FDO). FDO provides information on more than 100,000 U.S. foundations, corporate giving programs, and grant-making public charities. It also includes the Foundation Center’s philanthropy news, nonprofit jobs, requests for proposals, foundation publications, and nonprofit literature databases. The AHRL subscription to the FDO database is provided by a grant from The Alleghany Foundation.
Join Madge Vosteen for one of the sessions to be held on Thursday, May 18th at 6:30 pm and Friday, May 19th at 10:00 am. Each workshop will consist of an overview of the database, how to navigate the FDO homepage, and how to conduct “sample” searches. Participants my bring their laptops or use a library computer. The workshop is free, but registration is required to participate and seating is very limited.
