The Mission of the AHRL Foundation is to support and enrich the programs and services of the Library and to support the further expansion and growth of the Library by seeking financial contributions from corporate, foundation, and private sources.

A 9-member Board of Directors governs the AHRL Foundation and includes:

• (4) Board of Trustees members
• (3) community members selected by the AHRL Board of Trustees
• (1) Friends of the Library (FOL) officer
• Library Director – always serves as secretary

All members of the AHRL Foundation Board of Directors serve four-year terms.  A maximum of two (2) consecutive terms may be served, with a one (1) year break following the 2^nd term required before any member is allowed to serve again.

Board officers are elected for a two-year term and include Chair, Vice Chair, and Treasurer.
